Genotyping sample information from Gigwa for up to 20 diagnostic markers can now be imported into a BMS study.

Practically, genotyping info can be placed side by side with phenotyping info to assist breeders make informed decisions.

 

Prerequisites

  1. Generate genotyping sample IDs in the BMS

  2. Set values for Gigwa parameters (“keys”) in target BMS via Manage Crop Settings

  3. Define a variable in BMS Manage Ontologies with type Genotype Marker for receiving and storing the value of every diagnostic marker that you wish to import from Gigwa

  4. Prepare .vcf (containing BMS sample IDs) and .tsv (containing mapping) files and import into Gigwa project
