v22 Environments

Number of Environments

  • Specify the number of environments for your study and click Ok.

 

  • Clicking on a cell below LOCATION_NAME reveals the locations drop down menu. There are options for filtering on breeding locations only and/or favorite locations in the program. Rplace unspecified locations by selecting a name from the locations drop down menu.

 

Remove Environment

  • Select the red (-) button by any environment to remove from the study. Confirm the deletion.

 

Add Environment

After experimental design has been implemented you can continue adding environments by selecting the green (+) button.

 

  • Return to the experimental design tab to generate a design for newly added environments. 

 

Other Environment Details

  • Click on the Add button in the corresponding section to browse for variables (see Manage Ontology). The selected variables are now available for data entry. Save.

 

Environmental Conditions

Environmental conditions can include uncontrolled factors, such as weather, and controlled factors like chemical applications and watering regimes.

  • Click on the Add button in the corresponding section to browse for variables (see Manage Ontology). The selected variables are now available for data entry. Save.

Upload Files

Files can be uploaded and associated with an environment or instance in a study.

Other supported file extensions may be added to the default set: png, jpeg, jpg, pdf, json, csv, mpeg, tiff, bmp, and gif. Please contact your BMS administrator for assistance.

  • Select an environment.

Hovering over a cell under the File column reveals the file icon.

 

  • Click on it and the File Manager will be displayed.

  • Browse a file, a preview is generated in this step.

  • Upload. A success message is displayed and the file is added to the Files column.

Clicking in the file row you could see the preview again.

  • Click on the Download icon.

  • Click on the trash icon for deleting a file. A confirmation message will be displayed. Confirm. The file is not displayed anymore.

Once the files are loaded in the Environments you can open the File Manager from the Files column.
