Lot creation without advancement

Lots for planted material can be created without the need for a generation advance (this is to say a new germplasm record), if breeders are sure that the line is fixed or don’t want to keep tracking the generations at the pedigree level.

This new functionality is not mutually exclusive with the current workflow of Advance → New germplasm → Lot creation for new germplasm but is is rather and extension of it to allow more flexibility for the user to decide when to use one mechanism versus the other.
