Tutorial: Adding Synonyms and making them the Preferred Names
Often in a Breeding program breeding lines will enter Regional trials and the Breeder may wish to give them a new name that will distinguish their potential varieties from others, if this regional testing covers many companies or Institutes.
Some breeding lines will then be shown to be worthy of release and be given a release name.
